Association of Information Security Professionals Privacy Policy

The Association of Information Security Professionals (AISP) Privacy Policy covers how AISP treats personally identifiable information (PIN). PIN is defined to include but not limited to name, address, email address, contact numbers, credit card numbers, dietary preference or any information that collectively or singularly may identify you individually. If you have voluntarily provided the information to us, we deem that you have consented to use of your personally identifiable information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Collection & Usage

The information we collect will be used in accordance to the purpose of the collection. We collect personal information when you contact us, register with us for any event organized by us or when you take part in any promotion, survey or contest conducted by AISP. For your convenience, we may also display to you data you had previously supplied to us.

Retention & Destruction

AISP will retain the information supplied as long as it is necessary for its purpose. Information that is no longer relevant to us will be destroyed in accordance with our data destruction policy.

Information Security

As there is no such thing as perfect security, we endeavor to try our best to protect your information. As such, AISP will deploy reasonable and sufficient measures to ensure the security of your personal information from loss, misuse or alteration consistent with the sensitivity level of the information collected.

Web Site

We do not store or capture information that allows us to identify you individually when you visit our website. Any information collected is to help us to better manage our site for our visitors. AISP web site may contain links to other sites which we have no control over how your information is treated. Please consult the privacy policies of these sites before visiting them.

Third Party Access

We do not rent, sell or share your information with third parties except on request by a lawful authority or to comply with a court order. We limit access of your personal information to our employees and outsourced service providers whom we reasonably believe need to have access to the formation in order to do their work. Recipients of such information will also be restricted to using the information for the purpose for which it was disclosed and to comply with our privacy policy on how the information should be treated.

Membership Status Verification Request

AISP may be asked by a third party to verify your membership status. AISP will inform you of such a request and you will be given the option not to release such information.

Transferring of Information outside of Singapore

AISP will require the receiving party outside of Singapore to comply with this policy if the information is transmitted to a party outside of Singapore.
