Thomas Kok
Thomas leads the IT Risk Management Practice in ISS. This practice focuses on risk management, information
security and business continuity management. Thomas has 20 years of IT experience, assuming various IT
management roles in the financial sector regionally and globally. Prior to joining ISS, he was the Head of
Delivery for Central IT Risk and BCM Services in the largest Swiss International Bank, managing a global
team in driving the PMO for global IT risk management projects, delivering training & awareness, and
managing risk toolset development and support. He has a MBA and BSc (Hons) (Comp Science), both from NUS,
and currently holds CISM, CISSP, COMIT and CBCP.
Ramesh Moosa
Ramesh Moosa is Director with PwC’s Technology Practice. He specialises in IT Governance, Information Risk
Management and Digital Forensics. Ramesh has worked extensively in Asia and the United States and currently
leads the Forensic Technology Solutions practice. Prior to PwC, Ramesh was responsible for the IT
infrastructure and data security at the Singapore Police Force Technology Division.
Chan Kin Chong
Eddie Chau formed Brandtology in 2008 after successfully incubating e-Cop Pte Ltd, a company he founded in
2000, to a market leader in Info-Security Industry. e-Cop was acquired in 2007 by a wholly owned subsidiary
of Temasek Holding Pte Ltd. Before founding Brandtology, Eddie Chau was the Founder & CEO of e-Cop. He
brought to the organisation his extensive experience in the IT. He led and charted all aspects of e-Cop
group’s strategic direction from product development through to professional consultancy services,
technology development, sales and global expansion. Under his dynamic leadership and vision, e-Cop has grown
to be the market leader in the Info-Security industry with international presence spanning more than 20
countries. Before founding and spearheading e-Cop in 2000, Chau held senior positions in IBM and Computer
Associates Inc.
Chan Kin Chong
Chan Kin Chong is the Information Risk Manager with JPMorgan Chase Bank for the Asia Pacific region, a
regional risk management role that covers the diverse areas of risk assessment, system security design,
third-party service provider IT audit, regulatory compliance, security process engineering, and user
security awareness. He has been actively involved in the related fields of technology and information
security for more than ten years and has diverse experience in planning, designing, implementing and
managing IT security initiatives.
Benjamin Tan
Benjamin Tan has been involved with Data Security since the time of the Brain virus in 1987. Today, he is
the Managing Director of SuperInternet (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a specialist ISP that focuses on delivering
secure Unified Communications infrastructure. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the
National University of Singapore. During the course of his studies, he was selected to be sent to McGill
University, Montreal, Canada, for a year where he pursued a specialisation in Information Technology law. He
also holds several active certifications including Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco
Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Security Profession(CCSP), INFOSEC 4011 & 4013, Cisco
Certified Voice Professional, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
Andrew Wong
Andrew Wong heads the Information Security Department at OCBC Bank. He has more than 20 years experiences in
developing security policies, solutions and security measures for major banking channels and internet
banking systems.
Abdul Hamid Bin Abdullah
Abdul Hamid is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a
Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors (FIIA) Singapore. He is currently the IT audit director in the
Auditor-General's Office, with 30 years of experience in public sector auditing. His job includes audit of
financial statements, IT systems, information security reviews and performance audits of IT-based
programmes. He was Vice-President of the International Board of Directors of ISACA and the IT Governance
Institute (ITGI) from 2002 to 2006.
John Tan
John Tan is the Deputy Principal (Technology) & Director of School of Information Technology, Nanyang
Polytechnic (NYP). He has more than 18 years of working experience in the IT industry and education sector.
John who specialises in software technologies recognises that it is critical for software developers to be
equipped with good information security knowledge and competency to safeguard information assets of
enterprises in their IT solutions. At NYP, he initiated and led his team successfully to build strong
capabilities in IT and information security through industry collaborations, projects and offering of
professional courses. A passionate IT professional, he believes in incorporating industry needs into the
curriculum and embracing technologies into enterprises and businesses. To contribute his knowledge and
experiences, John has devoted time and effort to serve the IT industry in various capacities.
Douglas Tang
Douglas, a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) since 2004, was an info-security professional in
the public sector for more than 10 years. He is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PCS Security
Pte Ltd (www.pcs-security.com). He holds a Diplôme d'Ingénieur (Computer Engineering) from Grenoble in
France, and a Master in Public Management from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS. Since 1996, he
worked on various aspects of IT security, including policy formulation, security evaluation, methodology
development, cryptography and protocol analysis, cyber-incident management, cyber-crime and computer
forensics. He also serves as a Technical Assessor (IT Security) on SPRING’s Singapore Accreditation Council
– Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme. Over the years, Douglas continues to be passionate in the
specialist domain of cyber-security, and hopes to be able to play his part in shaping Singapore's
info-security landscape.
George Wang
George Wang is currently the Director of Infrastructure Technology in NOL Prior to his current position,
George was Joint Chief Information Security Officer for Reuters globally, where he was responsible for
information security strategy, policy, process, consulting, and risk management. In the early 1990s, he was
with Information Technology Institute, managing R&D on multi-lingual search engine, information management
and security while he was also an associate technical editor of IEEE Communications magazine. George holds a
MBA (High Honours, Beta Gamma Sigma) from University of Chicago.
Andrew Samson
Andrew Sansom was a Senior Manager with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte Consulting) in Singapore and
Malaysia where he pioneered their move into IT consulting during the 1980s. In 1990 he co-founded DP Search,
a boutique recruitment company, which became one of the most highly respected specialist firms of its kind
in the region. He remains at the helm of this company today. Andrew is active in the community and has been
a Council member of the Singapore Computer Society for the past 20+ years and was architect of many key
initiatives including selecting and acquiring a resource centre, establishing the IT Leader Awards, and
branding the CITPM programme which he co-chaired in 2003/2004. Andrew was first elected as Vice President in
April 1997, and has served as Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman of the SIG Board. He received the SCS
President’s award for services to the IT community in 1999. In addition he has served on national committees
in manpower-related areas for more than two decades.

Tan Wei Chong
Wei Chong heads the IT Security Operations branch in the Ministry of Defence, where he is responsible for
detecting and responding to cyber security and related incidents within the organisation. To this end, he
oversees a 24x7 security operations center, and a Computer Emergency Response Team. He has over 10 years of
experience in the field of information security, and is particularly interested in computer forensics and
malicious code analysis.
Josephine
Josephine is the Regional Digital Security Manager of BP Singapore Pte Ltd, responsible for the rest of the
world territory. Her area of focus is in IT security, 3rd Party accreditations and related risk management
advisory services. Josephine has more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry
spanning both the public and private sectors. She is also the serving Vice Treasurer in SIG^2.
Thomas Lim
Thomas Lim is the Founder and CEO of COSEINC and SyScan. In 2004, he started SyScan, a true-blue technical
based vendor neutral IT security conference with a strong emphasis on cutting edge security research. Before
founding COSEINC and SyScan, Thomas Lim was the head of security in one of the largest IT services company
in Asia.
Lim Kian Kim
Kian Kim’s diverse experience include working in areas such as market research, standards, electronic
commerce, technology law and IT security consulting in both the private and public sectors. He is an
Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre and an Associate Fellow with the Centre for
Technology Law & Policy (CAPTEL), School of Business, Nanyang Technological University. He is also a
correspondent to the Privacy Advisor, a publication of the International Association of Privacy
Professionals (IAPP) dedicated to privacy issues circulated in 23 countries.
Gerard Tan
Gerard is a partner leading the System and Process Assurance (SPA) and Business Continuity Planning
practices in PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore. His area of focus is in IT security, audit and related risk
management advisory services. Gerard has served in various capacities in the Executive Council, Special
Interest Groups, Business Continuity Group and other sub-committees in the SCS since 1984. He is currently
Chairman of SUN-DAC Centre for the Disabled and also a Co-opted member of the Singapore Computer Society.
Goh Wei Boon
Wei Boon has more than 12 years of experience in the IT Security industry. He is currently a Deputy Director
of Infocomm Security Technologies at CSIT. He manages R & D on software vulnerabilities, malware analysis
and detection and penetration testing. He holds a Master in Information Systems Management from Carnegie
Mellon University.
James Lan
James has worked his way through IT having been an IT support engineer, a System Administrator, a Network
Administrator, Assistance IT manager, and currently works as an IT Security / Forensics Lecturer for a Local
Polytechnic and conduct Security / Forensics workshops for local Law Enforcement. He has with him over 10
years of IT experiences. He earned GIAC GCFA, GCIH certification and has also earned other certifications
like the EnCE, ACE, CISSP, CCNP, MCSE and SCJD credentials.
He has earned his post-graduate of Master in Computing (Specialise in Security) from National University of Singapore, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Open University of UK.

Lawrence Neo
Lawrence is responsible for IT security governance, security advisory, security reviews, vulnerability
assessment, web application penetration testing, IT risk management, and IT audit in Nucleus Connect,
Singapore’s Operating Company (OpCo) for the active infrastructure of the Next Generation Nationwide
Broadband Network (NGNBN). He has more than 11 years of IT security experience in various portfolios
including network engineer, pre-sales consultant for IT security products and services, auditor and
consultant for ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). To date, he has consulted and helped
a major local system integrator to achieve the ISO 27001 certification for various business units. Lawrence
is a certified and qualified ISMS 27001 auditor with the International Register of Certificated Auditors
(IRCA). He also holds the CISSP and CISA certifications.
Benjamin Chiang
Benjamin is a Partner in Ernst & Young’s Advisory Services Practice, specialising in IT Risk and Assurance.
He has over 15 years of IT audit and security consulting experience with a focus on IT security governance,
process and technical security assessments, computer forensics and incident response management. He was
previously a Senior Internal Audit Manager leading the IT audit function for a Nasdaq listed multi-national
company.
Deep Singhania
Deep Singhania is Senior Vice President and Regional Director – APEJ for Nucleus Software. Prior to this, he
was Country Manager for Tata Consultancy Services in Singapore. An IT veteran with 19 years of experience,
including 17 years in Tata, Deep is responsible for driving P&L and business growth strategy for Nucleus in
Asia Pacific region. His extensive experience in global business management includes regional head
responsibilities for Far East, Middle East and other region comprising 360 degree functions including Sales,
Marketing, Delivery, Partnering, Alliances and Support Functions. Singapore is now home to Deep and family
for last 8 years.
Prof. Lam Kwok Yan
Professor Lam Kwok Yan is the Founder of PrivyLink Pte Ltd, a spin-off company of NUS specializing in
e-security technologies for homeland security and financial systems. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of
NUS, and has been a Professor of the Tsinghua University, PR China since 2002. Professor Lam received his
B.Sc. (First Class Honours) from the University of London in 1987 and his Ph.D. from the University of
Cambridge in 1990.
Ho Hee Meng
Hee Meng is currently the Manager for Security & Governance in the School of Infomatics & IT at Temasek
Polytechnic (TP). In addition, he teaches subjects related to IT security management, IT audit and ethical
hacking. He recently graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with an MSc in Infomation security
(Distinction). He currently holds the CISA and CISSP certifications and is also an ISACA academic Advocate
for TP.
Ron Wee
Ron Wee is the Business Manager for NetWitness solutions at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. Based in
Singapore, Ron is responsible for driving Sales and Business Development of RSA’s NetWitness solutions in
Asia region, enabling organizations to gain pervasive view into their organization security and develop
their advanced threat management. Prior to joining RSA, Ron used to manage the Compliance line of business
in Greater China and Asia South at Symantec Corporation. He was responsible for evangelizing the solution
set, growing market share, providing thought leadership and gaining mindshare among partners and customers
across the region. In his career, Ron has also architected numerous large security infrastructures ranging
from MNC to national level. He has also managed several security incidents for large organization and
advises management on the threat landscape.
Willie Lui
Willie Lui joined Temasek Polytechnic as a Senior Lecturer in the Cyber & Digital Security diploma in
September 2013 after working in the IT Security & Audit industry for more than 12 years. He has been a CISSP
since 2002 and has maintained good status with ISC2 ever since. Willie has deep experience in the areas of
IT security management and audit, IT risk management, IT networking (Cisco) and Windows, Linux and Solaris
administration. He is currently the subject leader for subjects such as IT Security Management and Audit and
Server Administration and Security.
James Tey
James is an assistant manager with the School of Information Technology, Nanyang Polytechnic. He holds a
Master degree in Masters in Technology - major in Software Engineering and is certified with GIAC Reverse
Engineering Malware (GREM), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Wireless
Professional (OSWP) and CCNA security instructor. He brings with him more than 15 years of IT industry
experience both in academia and software development. His experience varies from specialized security
consultancy services and solutions, enterprise end-point document security solution, PKI-based products and
software quality control & assurance.
Tin Aung Win
Tin Aung Win is Information Security Manager with School of Information Technology, Nanyang Polytechnic. He
has more than 25 years of IT industry experience and worked in many countries with various portfolios – from
systems programmer to principal architect -before joining NYP. He specializes in software quality control &
assurance and information security. He is a programme manager of the Specialist Diploma in IT Security
course offered by NYP since 2003.
Vincent Tay
Mr. Vincent Tay is the founder and managing director of Balanced Consultancy, an organization that deals
with customized business solutions, mobile applications and IT security. Under his leadership, the company
has emerged as one of the star players in the field and has recently just expanded its operations outside
Singapore into Hong Kong. Being a specialist in IT security, Vincent has vast experience performing web
penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and security audits. He holds an MSc in Information Systems
from Nanyang Technological University, CISSP, CISA and ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS Lead Auditor.

Philip Kwa
Philip Kwa was appointed Account Executive, Public Sector Lead, in Feb 2013. He brings more than 20 years of
proven experience and track record of direct and channel sales as well as managing large complex regional
project. He has extensive experience working in China, ASEAN, Japan, and Korea and with different industries
such as High Tech, Automotive, Consumer Products, Logistics and Retail.
Dr. Steven Wong
Dr. Steven Wong is an Associate Professor and Programme Director, Academic Programmes, at the Singapore
Institute of Technology (SIT). He spearheaded one of SIT’s flagship degree programmes in Software
Engineering in 2014 and also lead the first Information Security degree programme offered by an autonomous
university in Singapore. Steven obtained his undergraduate degree with 1st class honours in Computer
Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and his PhD in Informatics from the University of
Edinburgh. Steven have over a decade of academic and industry experience, and was involved in several
multi-million dollar funded research projects. Currently, Steven is also serving as a board member of the
Cloud Security Alliance (Singapore) and is a committee member of the Singapore Computer Society Infocomm
Security SIG. He is also currently the Chairman of the IEEE Consumer Electronics (Singapore) Chapter.
Alex Lim
Alex has over 30 years of diverse experience ranging from infrastructure and application support, security
management, security consulting on regional presales and transition projects in outsourcing services, and
technology risk management in Finance Services Industry (FSI). He specializes in IT security and tech risk
management and is currently working as VP, Group Technology Risk Assurance in DBS Bank. He holds the CISSP,
CISA, CISM, CCSP and ISO27001 Qualified Auditor certifications.
Andre Shori
Andre Shori hails from Canada and has over 20 year’s international experience as a Project Manager in
Information Technology. He holds a variety of certifications in the Cyber Security arena and has been a full
member of AiSP since 2009.

He is also a current World Record holder in the Guinness Book of World Records. Ryan Baxendale
Ryan Baxendale is an information security consultant and penetration tester who is well versed in a variety
of security assurance services helping clients go beyond compliance, government regulations, and corporate
initiatives resulting in better protection of their critical information assets. Ryan’s main area of
expertise is focused on penetration testing and he has profound experience with web and mobile applications,
enterprise networks, wireless security testing, vulnerability assessments, architecture reviews, and system
hardening.

Cecil Su
Cecil leads the Cyber Security & DFIR unit for BDO Advisory. He currently leads various engagement teams on
diversified advisory, security testing and incident response projects across vertical industries. His
current area of focus is in IT Security research and security testing. Prior to this, he was the Practice
Lead for Trustwave SpiderLabs SEA, which is the advanced security services and research team that
specialises in penetration testing, incident response/forensics, education services, and security research.
Yew Hock Meng
Hock Meng has more than 20 years of experience in managed services including Managed Security Service
Provider (MSSP). He holds a MSc in Management of Technology (NUS).
Freddy Tan
Freddy holds a MSc in Information Systems Security from the London School of Economics & Political Science
and CISSP. He is a member of the (ISC)2 Asia Advisory Board and was awarded the (ISC)2 President's Award in
2003 in recognition of his volunteer work with (ISC)2.
Huynh Thien Tam
Tam is a cyber-security advisor with over 12 years of experience on advising organisations across industries
in Singapore and APAC region on cyber-security matters. Tam is currently a Senior Director of Kroll's Cyber
Security and Investigations practice helping organisations to prevent, detect and response to cyber-attacks.
Prior to Kroll, Tam was with MWR InfoSecurity specialising on security assurance services and researching on
smart technologies. Before that, Tam was an Associate Director in KPMG Singapore leading security assessment
services. Tam holds Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), CREST Registered Penetration Tester
and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) and
GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA). He gathered several hacking competition awards, reported zero-day
vulnerabilities and spoke at various security events in the region.
Tok Yee Ching
Yee Ching is currently a PhD Student in Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) under the
Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) Pillar. His research interests cover a wide spectrum of
information security areas including and not limited to penetration testing, mobile applications, attack
detection, malware, Internet of Things (IoT) devices and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Before pursuing his
PhD, he was a Threat Hunter in Countercept, an advanced attack detection service for highly targeted
organisations created by MWR InfoSecurity where he helped to detect, respond and reduce the impact caused by
malicious attackers to the clients’ critical assets by actively seeking out for any nefarious activities. He
currently holds a variety of professional information security certifications, and is both a SANS Lethal
Forensicator and CREST Registered Penetration Tester. Yee Ching is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Singapore
Polytechnic, teaching the Specialist Diploma in Cyber Security Management and a SANS Mentor for SANS
Institute.

He has previously taken on Product Management and Solution Consultant roles with NetIQ (Attachmate), BT Frontline and Internet Security Solutions (IBM) mainly in enterprise security especially in areas of intrusion prevention, vulnerability management and security incident and event management from solution and operations perspective.

He has been active in the local IT Security area through various interest groups and as a member of the ISMS Working Group under SPSTC, ITSC Singapore (www.itsc.org.sg), SPRING. Chai Chin Loon
Chin Loon has spent the past 21 years in the IT industry after retiring from 12 years of active service in
the Singapore Navy, where he held key appointments, including that as the Commanding Officer of a naval
ship. He is currently the Senior Director, Cyber Security Group in GovTech where he oversees the cyber
security of the government.
The group provides cyber security governance supported by a consulting practise and technology explorations in addition to the monitoring of security events with robust incident response capabilities. He also oversees the Ministries Chief Information Officers deployed to all ministries.

Martin Khoo
Martin has over 13 years of experience in the IT industry specializing in IT security. He is currently the
Deputy Director of infocomm security with the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) of
Singapore. He leads a team of security consultants charged with providing security monitoring, vulnerability
assessment, penetration testing, incident response and forensic investigation to the government agencies and
organizations. He is the founder and Head of the Singapore Computer Emergency Response Team (SingCERT) which
is the national security incident response center under the purview of IMDA, charged with the prevention,
detection and resolution of computer security incident. Martin is a founding member and Deputy Chairman of
the steering committee of the Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT).
Huang Shao Fei
As Director for Cybersecurity at Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA), Shao Fei leads the
cybersecurity programme covering a wide spectrum of InfoComm Technology (ICT) and Operational Technology
(OT) systems across land transport. He is also Director for Data Science and IT Governance at LTA, working
with data scientists and engineers to harness the potential of advanced data analytics and technology
experimentation for land transport innovation.
Shao Fei received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Tokyo under the support of the Singapore Public Service Commission (PSC) and Japan Monbusho scholarships. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester, in addition to multiple IT security certifications including CISSP-ISSMP, CISSP, CISM and CRISC. He currently serves as the President of the Information Security Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society, and co-chairs the UITP Cybersecurity Working Group.

Wally Lee
Wally Lee is a Technology Evangelist and Trusted Security Advisor. He developed strategic relationships,

Samson is a Course Chair/Senior Lecturer with Singapore Polytechnic (SP). He has more than twenty years of
experience in projects involving technology architecture, as well as computer networking and security for
local and foreign banks, MNCs and quasi-governmental departments. Currently, he is leading a team in
managing both academic and technical training courses related to cyber security. He is also overseeing the
running of the SP’s Cyber Security Academy (CSA) and Cyber Wargame Centre (CWC). Samson holds a Bachelor of
Science (Honours) degree from the University of Central Lancashire (UK) and a Masters degree (Communications
Software Management) from the University of Essex (UK). He also holds a number of professional
