COVID-19 has brought about massive changes to the way we live, work and bank, and has greatly accelerated digital adoption. Despite the pandemic, we were able to rapidly scale up our digital banking services safely and securely to support our customers in their time of need, and provide employees with secure remote access so that they could work from the safety of their homes. All this was possible because of DBS’ earlier investments in establishing a layered cyberdefense infrastructure with strong system controls. At the same time, we have been supporting the national Smart Nation agenda by grooming a pipeline of cybersecurity talent through the Technology in Finance Immersion Programme and the SGUnited Traineeship Programme.
